The Internet Wrestling Community is all abuzz over AEW Owner Tony Khan's most recent declaration of some big, huge, great announcements for AEW. What could those announcements be?

A new Television rights deal, possibly. After what seems like an eternity of Tony saying that discussions with Warner Brothers Discovery is great.....we are near the goal line....talks are fruitful....it's going great......is it finally over and done. If so, is it with Warner Brothers Discovery? The exclusive negotiating window for WBD closed around the end of July.

Did Tony shop AEW around? Any good business person would after the window closes on the exclusive time to negotiate. Yes, Tony is loyal to WBD because they gave him the shot to air his vision on tv. If Tony wants to try and get the most he can, he should shop the rights around. If there are no competitors, why would WBD up any offer they have given? This will also give Tony an idea of how much those tv rights are really worth. Maybe what WBD has offered is the best there is? Then sign that in a heartbeat and thank them.

Shane O'Mac to AEW? or Vince is buying AEW with Shane as a proxy?

Shane making an appearance is the most likely of these two. Vince isn't going to pay 2 billion dollars or so for AEW. No matter what Forbes prints or Dave Meltzer thinks it is worth....2 billion just isn't it. Vince is going to want to see all of Tony's AEW financials. What the incoming revenue vs the outgoing expenses are and make an offer based on that.

How truly profitable is AEW? We really don't know. Folks can make educated guesses. Without actually seeing AEW's year after year net profits or net losses, we truly have no idea what AEW is truly worth. With it being a privately owned company, Tony doesn't need to share that with us. Unfortunately, he is going o have to show those books if someone is entertaining to purchase and Tony is entertaining to sell.

Whatever Tony's announcements are, i truly hope they reawakens interest in AEW. Shawn Michaels and NXT need the competition to stay sharp and AEW offers wrestling fans an alternative to watch.
