Part 5 Family Business
From the start the WWE has been a family business. Vince Sr. sells to Vince Jr. Jr. and his wife Linda run the business. Vince Jr. is the creative/entertainment part and Linda does the business side. Years later their son Shane and Stephanie are brought into the fold. The children worked their way through the ranks just like any performer there
Vince did a Playboy interview back 2001. In the interview he talks about his upbringing. The physical abuse from his stepfather. Sexual Abuse he alludes to his mother. Incest. Although Vince claims that he doesn't look back, you take a look at some of the storylines, and it makes you wonder if he pulled that from his childhood. The extramarital affairs/ the Trish Stratus storyline. Incest/pitching idea that his daughter Stephanie is pregnant, and it was Vince that impregnated her. (Thankfully that is a story idea that Stephanie said no to). The in ring matches between Vince and his children/Physical Abuse.
Do his childhood experiences excuse him from the questionable ideas he put forth? Absolutely not. Knowing this though, you can understand where some of his thinking came from....and if he could make money with it.....all the better in his mind. If I was a Psychology Major working for my doctorate, the thesis paper I would write would be about those parallels.
